Our military vehicle battery management systems (BMS) control and manage every function in a vehicle’s primary electrical system. Functions such as remote battery switching, charge prioritisation, intelligent split charging, flat battery protection, alarms, and automation of load shedding (non-essential loads) and generator stop/start are all controlled through the BMS. Furthermore the BMS detects weaknesses, power discharge, and overloads in the electrical system uses the data to correct these problems automatically thereby avoiding battery failure.
