Lead-acid batteries have been around since 1859 and today still remain an attractive battery type for a wide variety of applications. The past few decades have seen significant advancements in lead-acid battery technology; especially with regard to cycle life and shelf life. While lead–acid batteries have a relatively low energy density, they exhibit a relatively high power-to-weight ratio. Lead-acid batteries account for 40–50% of global battery sales. They are 99.9% recyclable thus making lead-acid one of the greenest battery technologies on the market.

Aztec’s wide range of lead-acid cells and batteries includes 2V cells and 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12V battery blocs ranging in capacity from several ampere-hours (Ah) to several thousands of Ah. Our lead-acid batteries are used extensively in Aerospace, Defence, Energy Storage, Mining, Security and Telecoms applications.
