Nickel-cadmium batteries have been around since 1899 and have today largely been replaced by other more attractive and more environmentally friendly battery types. Nickel-cadmium batteries are however still used to replace existing cells and batteries of the same chemistry in Aerospace, Industrial and Mining applications.
Aztec’s wide range of nickel-cadmium cells and batteries range in capacity from several ampere-hours (Ah) to several hundreds of Ah. They are available in low, medium and high rate discharge variants and offer a design life in excess of 20 years.
